Just got the game and in our first playthrough we noticed a misprint/discrepancy. Kures' reckless/spineless aren't the same on the oversized card and the player cards. How should this be played out in game?

Here is an update from Luke at Fun to 11 about the misprint.
You can also see the update on Kickstarter that show the images here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1225737959/miskatonic-s...

Some very astute backers found 2 typo/design mistakes in the game, and I wanted to share them here so you can all play the game with no confusion. The first is that there is an “s” missing from Miles Crones name on the student cards. No in-game effect here, just treat them as they are the same. (see below)

The second is a bit more confusing. Kures has the right “purple light” on to show that he is “Spineless”, but we crossed out that word instead of crossing off “reckless” – and this ONLY happened on the oversized student cards (see image). How this happened is hugely confusing to us as we used the files from the small cards to make the files for the big cards. However it happened, there are two really easy fixes for you to choose from.

#1) If you are playing a 4 or 5 player game, don't deal out Kures and instead make him one of the oversized student cards you reveal at the start of the game

#2) Or, for an even easier fix, you can follow our lead, grab a sharpie, and scratch off the “Reckless” on the large card to make it more obvious. (see the fix below)

Either way, full game enjoyment is just around the corner!

We want to extend a special thanks to all of you who have gotten your game, played, and taken the time to send your thoughts our way. It’s wonderful to hear from folks who are having such a good time with MSfB!

Happy Halloween!
Luke
