When I bought this game about a year and a half ago (with the Asgard expansion), I noticed even before punching out pieces that they were misprinted. Somehow the fronts and backs simply do not line up. For example, a row of Fire Giants would have Vikings on the back -- rather a big problem. the Unreachable Worlds tiles, God tiles, whirlpool tile, etc., have different things on the front and back and the cuts do not correspond to the pieces. In short, the game is unplayable as-is. Below is an example to show how miscut/misprinted these pieces are:

The publisher(s) for the board game on the box are listed as Z-MAN Games (the English publisher) and Ludonaute (French).

Last April (2015) I first contacted Z-MAN games. I was eventually told to contact the "original" publisher (Ludonaute), and that I should specifically contact the USA distributor, Asmodee.

As suggested, I contacted Asmodee last May (2015). They told me they "do not carry" that game and to contact Z-MAN games.

I contacted Z-MAN games again and received no response. Eventually I just forgot. At least up until I was packing up all of my games to move into a new house!

I have since contacted both companies again. Z-MAN games did respond this time, but to tell me that it was unfortunate the previous representative had directed me to contact Asmodee, as now Z-MAN games is "out of parts." I have still received no response from Asmodee.

Does anybody have any advice? This was not exactly a cheap game, so it is frustrating that I cannot play it because I happened to buy a misprinted copy.

Thanks in advance!

I would think the least they could do is offer to send you a game or to gratis, if they can't get your parts for it. They wouldn't be out much money and they'd have done a lot to earn some customer loyalty and/or interest in the future (at least that would be the effect on me)

Alas, to the best of my knowledge, the game is now out of print!

I know, I meant any game (of comparable value) out of their catalog. Companise always need to make more space in the warehouse.
