In my old group, there was a government worker, a teacher, a doctor, IT specialist, and a factory worker. How diverse is your gaming group?

Ours is a priest, a rabbi, and a minister. We happen to meet up at a bar to play games.... oh wait.

one group is very open so the people there are all across the spectrum. My other group though are all engineers.

3rd thread in 30 min like this?

What the hell are you on about?

Why not just make one thread asking about the demographics of game groups if you have a sincere interest in this kind of thing? (My vote is that you don't really.)

Half-orcish warrior monk
Forest-elven ranger
Human cleric
Tiefling barbarian
High-human cavalier

Two females (cleric and barbarian), two males (warrior monk and cavalier), one undecided (the elf, obviously).

Highest educational degree would be our cleric (5th circle, currently on her way to sixth), lowest the half-orc and tiefling (both quasi-illiterate).

Highest social status is the cavalier (royal descent, third-in-line for the throne), lowest the tiefling (born into slavery, won freedom by her own hand in the arena).

In my gaming group there is a cat, and editor and a mini of a dragon named Barry. So... pretty diverse.

Edited to add that I see that you are in the USA, which is strange, as we don't have factories here, since we don't actually produce anything.

Huh? That explains those rules of Race for Galaxy game, where CONSUME phase oddly comes before the PRODUCE phase. Dat mentality... (not to mention the typical EXPLORE DEVELOP SETTLE).

My most recent/decent/frequent gaming group had:

Fair few independent artists (theatre company owner/pro-musicians/artists&illustrators etc)
People working in varied STEM fields (I can never remember the specifics as I'm useless)
Sex workers
Administrators
Retail workers

All gained from a combination of introduced acquaintances, game cafe deals, people looking for non-serious/non-travel social time, and old friends. Also had a fair few people in-between careers due to life situations/awful governments & disabled people where employment simply isn't an option, which sometimes get left out of threads talking jobs which is a bit sad as I'm sure a lot of us know/are/have been gamers in that category.
