Hi,

I wanted to know if this game feels the same as le havre? while watching the reviews, i keep getting reminded about le havre.

The buildings can be built or bought, but beyond that they feel very different mechanically to me. Thematically I guess they have some crossover too.
They're both great games!

There's a couple similarities - both are semi-worker placement games where you essentially have one worker, and both have buying buildings, but they feel very, very different.

Le Havre is far heavier, it's a true economic game with complex chains of actions for points, feeding your people, etc. Islebound is simply about getting some stuff together to take over some towns. While there are cool twists like bragging and the diplomacy track, it's a far lighter, quicker game.
