Hi guys well it's a half day for most people on 11/8 and we're having a get together for Election Day. So I'm wondering if there are any games that are good choices for election day? Either games already out or that will require a very simple re-print.

One obvious one is Secret Hitler: Trump Version and it's especially good because it's print and play and you can change up the cards.

I'm also thinking to do Deception: Murder in Hong Kong -> Deception: Murder in Arkansas and just re-print the role cards with a Killary card.

There are some good political games from Jason Matthews alone.

Die Macher...Because nothing lessens the blow of a screwed up American political system, like playing a weird ambiguous German one.

Trump: The Game
Clintonopoly!

But seriously, for a good game try 1960: The Making of the President. This is the game I played during the 3rd debate.

The election is basically an area majority game, so I'll be playing a thinly veiled retheme of El Grande entitled El Presidente.

Just in case one of the candidates cannot accept a loss, you can always play:

Coup?

Or how about something in the Pax series? Maybe in a few years Phil Eklund will have the inspiration for a post-apocalyptic Pax Americana.

Koalition was always a favorite of mine for election nights! Not really US themed though.

I prefer the 'curl up in a ball and cry' game. Followed shortly by 'move to Madagascar' or something.

I'd suggest Monopoly as it is boring, goes on for ages and loads of money is involved.

Campaign Trail has the full PNP files uploaded here on BGG, as the official game won't be released for a few more months. It's an absolutely fantastic political game that scales very well from 2-6 (and includes an official solo mode).

What I like most about it (other than the fact that it isn't strictly 2 player like Twilight Struggle or 1960) is that the political candidates are all fictitious. No actual Trump or Hillary in the game (although there are characters that were obviously created with them in mind - there's "The Wealthy Candidate" for example), and each candidate card is dual sided for equal male/female representation.

It is honestly a terrific political game, and one that fired both Twilight Struggle and 1960 for me, enough that I sold both games off.
