Sorry, this is just a question that popped up into a Solo Game I was playing.

I guessed the Stare Down in way that left the Pitcher with only the Modify +1/-1 ability. They rolled a Strike 1 on the dice.

What do you do in this case?

The solo-play instructions card say to:

- Reroll the Control Die on a (S)1-6 (but the pitcher has no rerolls)
- Keep a S 4-6 and add a +1 to it if you have the modify action (it's not a S 4-6)

A human player would use their ability to give the strike 1 a +1 to make it a strike 2, so that it would be slightly harder to hit... but other than that, the AI doesn't seem to do this.

I assume the same question goes for a S2 and a S3.

Do you do nothing? Or do you use your free modifier for the AI since this is in the AI's best interest?

Thanks!

Deffo add +1 to AI's strike roll to make it harder to beat. You'd do the same thing as a human player.
