I'm a train buff, and I would like to know if anyone has any recommendations for good railroad simulations. My favorite is the Avalon Hill C&O/B&O, a real oldie but goodie. While designed for two players, it has easy solo playable rules. So, any suggestions? Thanks.

Snowdonia is about building a railroad.

Not strictly a 'railroad sim.' but Russian Railroads has a solo-play variant in the expansion that you can easily apply to the base game with a simple random number generator (or if you make your own cards).

It's a really enjoyable variant. Worth trying.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I await the arrival of the Two Wolf version of Silverton. And while I wait, I am playing the B&O in a solo game of C&O/B&O.
