Are there any tools or applications where you can upload images of your game and be provided with a view of what it would look like to colour blind people?

All three of these geek lists are worth a read-through (there are links to some tools):

Colourblindness and Games (that's color-blindness for our US friends) Keywords: colour, color, colourblind, colorblind, colour-blind, color-blind, colour blind, color blind.

I use an app (ios: CVSimulator; Android: ColorBlindness SimulateCorrect) to view the web page palettes I am asked to use, to get a sense how the color-blind would see them. The apps filter the camera image as I look at items and/or text.

It isn't an exact science using them, but it lets me have some confidence that I'm on the right track with my choices.

Color me a bit confused, but with enough icons, why does color matter? Or to put it another way, aren't icons a more sure way of dealing with the problem than having 1 set of colors that works for the broad spectrum of people that see things differently?
