March 1940
Murmansk was liberated, Finns retreat to their homeland as losses in Russia can't be replenished. Suez canal open to the Regia Marina and the last remnants of british forces in the middle east surrender for lack of supply. The Royal Navy lose some cruisers trying to help them out. Malta bombed out and her Hurricanes shot down at last in exchange for a few Heinkels.

April
German surface raiders moved to the North Atlantic. Italians fail to circumvent Sitzkrieg. The Royal Navy takes a pounding returning to the western med, losing the battle cruisers Repulse and Renown. Damascus taken and Italians shipped from Alexandria back to Tripoli. Russia lined the Polish front with new builds which worries Hitler but he has little free to respond with.

May
After scattering convoys far and wide the German fleet returned to port before the allies could react. The Finns are forced back gradually, without tanks they can make the Soviets attack for every hex.
Luftwaffe recalled from the sunny med in time for Case Yellow. 1 corps of Stukas and Me110s remain in Messina. Piedmont is under allied air superiority but 5 infantry corps are probably sufficient to hold it.
Belgium falls and the French line is penetrated and reformed twice, once by British reinforcements straight off the ships. A french army was cornered in Calais and surrendered. L'armee de L'air was wiped out but the RAF flew unopposed and most ground troops fell back in reasonable order. With allied reserves committed, Ewald von Kleist struck, leading the spearhead to within sight of the Eiffel Tower.
The march on Iraq continues apace but its a long way to Mosul.
Turn record track shows De Gaulle and Joffre coming in July, it's best to Vichy France before that. The Germans need Paris, Bordeaux and St Nazaire. North Atlantic escorts have fallen to 2.5 stacks and somehow drifted through the Bermuda Triangle to the US coast.
Allied losses have built up to dangerous levels in EPs, ships, planes and infantry but the Royal Navy outweighs the combined axis fleet on its own. Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland have all been conquered and there forces are out of the game for the moment.
Jon wants to see the fall of France before we switch to John Prados 3rd Reich.
