I didn't see anything official. Most folks can probably just remember, but some of us don't have the memory we used to...

We ended up putting a coin/vp marker on the lap scoring tile.

Good question, and a common one.
In testing, we tried a lap tracker. The problem was it was much easier to forget to move the tracker than it was to forget the lap you were on! Probably because you're so excited about handing out points. So it turned out the lap tracker was causing more issues than it was solving.

One nice thing to remember is that because you always go through all the tiles, and they always come out at the same speed. So with that:
- if there are still Early tiles left, you're still on the first lap (or the very beginning of the second)
- if there are less than 7 Early tiles or are placing Mid tiles, then you're on the second lap
- if you're almost done with the Mid tiles, then you're on the third lap
- if you're in the Late tiles, then you're on the last lap

Of course, there are plenty of rockets to line up (like mentioned), or points too. Just don't forget!

I hope this helps

When playing Solo, I use the unused player tokens to mark which lap we're on.
Otherwise, I just use the red die.

We simply used the red die. It worked really well.

Watching the remaining tiles is the best signal of end of game for me. I've counted laps and the tiles always run out on the last (4th) lap.

Nice. I like this suggestion. Lining them up on the "Performance Review" line will also keep us from forgetting to do the lap scoring, which we've done every time we've played so far...
