Looking for a few good family games that are easy to learn, not a lot of setup or take down, thematic so it's not too boring and will keep everyone engaged.

So for I've looked into games like Codenames, Love Letters, and Resistance: Avalon. What games do you guys pull out during family time?

We've had a great time with Codenames and Bananagrams. If you don't have Love Letter, you should definitely get it. It is so portable and quick/fun, it'll work in a variety of circumstances. The Resistance: Avalon has been a huge hit at our place, but mainly when our kids (high school age and college age) bring a group of friends over. This would be good for large extended family gatherings as well.

Wait, did you say Monopoly?? shake

+1 Sequence for non gamers.

We play a ton of family games (7 of us in total, but mom usually sits out, which leaves 6). Our favorites are:

Ticket to Ride

Settlers of Catan

7 Wonders

1812

One Night Ultimate Werewolf

Resistance: Avalon

Flashpoint

Based on a lot of research, we'll probably be picking up for Christmas some of the following:

Space Cadets

Bang the dice game

Shadows Over Camelot

Pandemic

Survive: Escape from Atlantis

King of Tokyo

All of the games above work with 4 players, and many with more (althoigh some require an expansion to get to 5 / 6 players)

+1 Ticket to Ride, I like Europe best.
Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King is an easy to learn, easy to play game for up to 5 people.

I would add Sushi Go Party! instead of Sushi Go. Also Cartagena or Cartagena 2. The Pirate's Nest as well. They are easy to setup and give you plenty of opportunity to play and chat.
