I have always had lots of people sitting around watching football...

until this year.

Both sons are off at the in-laws and I cut the cable six months ago. So no people and no football.

What will I do?

There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary: Those who do, and those who don't.

Open up a burrito stand in front of the house.
Of course that will only occupy you for the morning and afternoon.
You'd like be able to run naked down the street, unnoticed, once football starts and the big mealtime comes around.
So then; in summary:
8am to 10am- Food prep
10:30 to 2pm- Burrito sales
Anytime after 3pm- Streaking

How do get on the internet? You can stream football.
Do you know your neighbors well enough that you can crash their football party?

Some non-sports answers:

Read a book.
Hand write a letter to a friend or family member. They will be surprised.
Do you own any solo board games?
Are there any computer games you've been wanting to play? (Steam will be open Thanksgiving Day!)

Maybe in the coming years you will want to plan ahead. Lego makes a Christmas set every year and our family tradition is to build it either on Thanksgiving or the day after. Its probably too late for you to go to the store and buy an "activity kit" related to your one your hobbies.

This is my second favorite holiday (after Easter). It is cold, rainy and dreary.

However, the turkey is in the oven so all is well. Sort of.

Beginning around the 1980s then "Thanksgiving Tradition" of Seattle region was consistent: "Storms CUT Power/Outage Day" so; "had nothing at all!" soblue
