First of all, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVE! I know this is an international site, but Happy Day anyway!!

I am going to try Codenames or King of Tokyo or both. These folks are 100% non gamers, so we'll see how it goes.

What are your Thanksgiving gaming plans?

Maybe Telestrations: 12 Player Party Pack, but don't see much else.

Maybe some solo stuff if I can sneak it in.

Hoping for a game of Agricola (revised edition) or two in the morning. We have a low key Thanksday on the cards and then gotta watch football. Maybe some short games and maybe some three player games with my mother in law.

Then some Zombie 15' on Black Friday with some friends. I'll take some other games too. They aren't generally board game folks, so we'll see.

I'm hoping to get a bunch of games played, but mostly lighter fare given the non-gaming audience.

Patchwork
Baseball Highlights: 2045
New York 1901
Stone Age
Colt Express
Mechs vs. Minions
And maybe Qwirkle

All might see the table.

If Christmas is approaching, it must be time for me to break out OGRE. Don't know why, but that is my go-to game this time of year. Maybe I will finally get around to breaking open that Deluxe Designers Edition I got for Christmas last year.

Family has almost all arrived. Right now we are a group of 2 grandparents, four parents, and three children.

We've played:
Rhino Hero x3
Carcassonne (someone else brought; it was my first time playing this!)
Concept (I think my son and I are more into it than anyone else)
Love Letter (Adventure Time)

Son and I brought Hive and played it on the plane

We also brought:
Sushi Go Party
Mr. Jack Pocket
Sleeping Queens
Menu Mash-Up
Bad Beets
Bananagrams

And I think the hosting grandparents have
Blokus
Ricochet Robots
Scrabble
Ticket To Ride
Qwirkle

I'm excited to see what goes on the table next!

Update: Thanksgiving Morning:
Sushi Go Party
Love Letter Adventure Time
Concept

Update: Thanksgiving Afternoon
(2 more grownups arrived. One brought) Anomia
Menu Mash-Up (big hit)
Sleeping Queens

Update: After Dinner:
Qwirkle

Update: Day after Thanksgiving
Sushi Go Party
Blokus
Hive
Menu Mash-Up

Thinking of playing games with themes that work with Thanksgiving\early settler... So as of now thinking New Amsterdam and Lewis & Clark. I wish I had The Colonists already

Will also have Codenames, The Great Heartland Hauling Company, Paperback, and Letter Tycoon on hand in case it's too chaotic to try deeper games.

Just received a bunch of new games that were on pre-order that I am super excited to try (A Feast for Odin, Key to the City - London, Black Orchestra...), but there is no way I can deal with trying to play any of those for the first time with all of the noise of Thanksgiving going on.

EDIT - Actual plays:
Ticket to Ride x 2
Battlelines x 2
Honshu x 1
Codenames x many

So far we've played Black Fleet, Guillotine, and three games of Pandemic.

Tomorrow we'll play Caverna, Terraforming Mars, Ticket to Ride, and more Pandemic.

I've got a copy of Love Letter (premium) showing up on Friday and I'm hoping to play a couple of games of Commands and Colors Napoleonics with my son.

I'll be playing "Auditing That The Vulnerability Scans Have Been Properly Carried Out, Then Doing Some Meetings About Risk Validation". It's not the best game I've ever played. In fact, sometimes, it almost feels like work...

Most of my family, outside my immediate family, are non-gamers or ultra-light gamers. So I'll be breaking out Codenames today.

Today is a small gathering for us and we'll most likely play some kind of thematic game (Mansions of Madness 2e, Imperial Assault, Castle Ravenloft,...) but tomorrow will be our big day so probably lots of strategy (Bruges, Stone Age, Lords of Waterdeep,...) and party games (Camel Up, Codenames, King of Tokyo,...).

I help my mother run Thanksgiving almost every year. The one year we didn't host it I ended up in an enjoyable 6-player game of "Taboo". Whenever I suggest one of my own games everyone just bitches about how tired they are or can't be bothered to learn it.
Easy and fun stuff like Love Letter. I keep trying though, this year with Codenames: Pictures.

Tell them you bought it at Target, yes, not the same Codenames, but they'll never know, lol!

We played The Game, Rummikub, Fairytale Gloom, Spot It, Win/lose/banana, Qwirkle, Blink, and Uno.

They were really good sports about my weird games but the kids wanted to play kids games and Grandma really can only play traditional games. It was a good day.

All I managed was two games (we play 3 rounds a game and add scores) of Linko! with my wife and her mom. They each won and I didn't. Tough.

Three games of One Night Ultimate Werewolf with six people, and a four player game of Love Letter. We also played a lot of X-Box Jackbox.Tv.

Tomorrow will be a big game of Star Wars: Rebellion with my buddy Dan. Saturday morning will then be a four player game of Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar.

Got in a play of Ticket to Ride Africa expansion. 3 player game, lost to my nephew by 1 point with the niece way behind.

Then we played a game of Monopoly on my WWII vintage copy of the game.
