Hello!
Only the set of four promo tiles has a description which says you should replace original tiles with these. Does this mean these are just 'alternate art' promo tiles? Do the Dice Tower and Game Boy Geek tiles work in the same way?

I didn't even know they're "alt art". I'm just mixing them all together. They work like regular tiles.

This is the description on the BGG listing of the 4 promo tile set:
Quote:

The tiles provide more aesthetic variation in the platform artwork. Before you add all four new tiles to the game, you are encouraged to first remove one tile of each platform type from the base game.

From what I understand, this just replaces 4 original platform tiles, without any rule changes or additions.
The Dice tower and Game Boy Geek tiles have do description whatsoever.

They do simply replace the base game tiles, but like Sebastian, I just shuffle them all together. You can end up with more platform tiles, but... ho hum.

The color spread on promos is unique, so I wouldn't want to replace - more diversity is nice. Yes, you end up with couple more platforms, but it affects everyone in the same (slightly positive) way.
