the living rule book is available free, to get the "new rules" which are largely the same you probably have to purchase a physical copy or digital one

The Coat of Arms of Clan Montgomery - Scotland. Yes, that's a woman with the head of a savage in her hand, and an anchor. No clue what it means, but it's cool.

BTW, what is "Season 1" anyway . . . I thought Deathzone was the league rules -- so I was confused by that.

it's more or less the rest of the rulebook if you consider lrb6 the full rulebook. it has all the stuff for league play and the rest of the teams that are coming soon. the rulebook that comes w/ the base set is specifically rules to play a one off game between orcs and humans

It is, but they haven't officially re-released rules for all the teams yet. (Yes, there is the Teams of Legend PDF, but I'm guessing we'll see those teams appear, perhaps with small modifications, along with new teams in later releases.)

Future "seasons" will contain other stuff besides teams. (I'm guessing for wizards and other magic-y stuff, and probably a season that makes use of the trapdoors on the pitch and other dirty tricks. This is all just my speculation, though.)

DeathZone will be released in seasons.

The first is Season 1.

Season 1 specifically tells you how to make a team, "level up" your team, and has stats for 7 different races.

It also has more skills/rules including the new version of piling on.

Basically if you never plan on playing leagues you don't need it since each team's stats also comes in the team box. If you want to have your team grow though, including new skills, rules for unbalanced competitions, and more, then you need to get the Season 1 rulebook (or own LR6 already).

We currently have nine of 23 planned teams. That means we have 14 left. Deathzone Season One gave us seven teams, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say we can expect two more seasons of seven teams each to wrap things up.

In addition to more team rosters, I'm sure future seasons will have new surprises for us. I'm thinking optional play alternatives. Variant weather tables, variant rules, perhaps even something that creates an entirely new experience much like Dungeon Bowl did for 2nd edition (but hopefully better thought out). Plus, there's those trapdoors.

Also, we have seen a couple of new skills added to this edition. And some older skills have been left out (Chainsaw skill? What Chainsaw skill?) and may return in future seasons. Though it is my hope that Deathzone Season Two will include all the skills from Season One, so we can have a single book for reference.

Andy Hoare suggested the other day that, once DZ Season 2 was out, the rules errata would no longer be an issue, so it seems the plan is to have some sort of cumulative document. Obviously, they won't put all of the stuff from S1 into later seasons, but we'll see.

Speaking of Chainsaws, there was also the talk at Warhammer World were he hinted at a couple of new Goblin Secret Weapons...devil

if I had to guess everything from season 1 will be included in season 2 excluding the teams....that way it'd be a useful reference and season 1 still has a purpose

Then I'm sure there will be a follow-up "Total Bloodbowl Rules Anthology" that will include all the material from all the books in one nice, complete volume - probably a "Deluxe" edition so that the price can be tripled.

Thanks for the answers.

well it wouldn't be deluxe if it wasn't a $200 hardbound monster and covered w/ extensive concept art....prolly typos and of course it will need errata .....maybe a reprint

but yea probably
