This theme of this variant is right down my alley and can be played with 5 or 6 players (6 if the Vikings are used). The setting is pre-Christian Ireland in the year 380 A.D. The powers are ULAID, CONNACHT, MIDHE, LAIGIN, and MUMA, (VIKINGS OPTIONAL). The map is high quality and easy to read. There are a couple special rules such as RAIDING which can be done from any of the 4 corner sea areas by writing a RAIDING order by any power. Although I have not played a full game yet (just acquired it), I have a group lined up to play in Feb. and will update my review then.
