You have 3 minutes.
Tracing paths only between adjacent letters, no backtracking.
Diagonal OK.
No 3 letter words (too many).
GO.
My answers, in review:
I think Boggle is an elegant mental dexterity game, deserving to be an eternal classic. Just altering the order of the tiny letter cubes and setting the timer opens so many new answers. Unfortunately, the lame hourglass doesn't emit a ring.
To determine the best words in the entire range dealt under the tinted plastic mantle is a talent. Arming yourself with vocabulary helps, but just tearing through every mated pair of letters of merit works as well. Later, you'll lament that your list isn't as unique as mine. The meat of the game is in finding neater words the others don't name so your score isn't negated.
While not meant to be a trivia game, that doesn't mean it isn't. Vocabulary trivia and external knowledge goes a long way. The meta game of extra information plays in many of the word game genre to earn points, so learn to deal with it.
Always delegate someone with a dictionary or near a terminal and agree on what's official before you enter a game to negate any rant.
Play fast and lean, like a marine, put the pedal to the metal and just tear through every term you see. You don't have the amenity of time. No need to be gentle or tame, get everything you can, play like a meanie.
If you seem get stuck in gear for an eternity, exert your attention on other cubes in the meantime.
Sometimes, when you tire, your mind feels melted and you see a mirage cube. Other players will be elated when they find you minted a letter that wasn't there to alter your answers, now fit for the latrine.
Forgetting simple anagrams (tang to gnat) is costly. Also don't forget to trim words like ragtime to shorter words if you play allowing 3 letters. The next tier of playing is when you can view the board as flexible latex. Otherwise, you'll sit in irate rage when you see you missed a high scoring word like minaret or nitrate and no one wants to hear those words lamented over and over.
When my dear angel mate was stuck in bed on maternity leave, unable to lift an extremity, this was the game we played each meal without her exerting herself.
Under rated.
When will I play?
Anytime.
(note - yes, of course, I manually made the layout for some words I needed, then found more. There's LOTS more, but I couldn't figure how to get an anime ermine emirate agent to make sense in the review.)

Playing Boggle is much better than watching anime. In about the same time it takes for you to imagine an agent of the Saudi emirate appearing out of nowhere and putting you out of your misery, a game of Boggle is already over!
Nice review!

I love Boggle (at least Big Boggle or Boggle Master where 4 letters are the minimum). Nice review and thanks for the exercise!!!

Nice.
My Big Boggle game is now 30+ years old. It's been played several thousand times.
Beautiful game.
And yes, 3-letter words are for wimps. When my children played with me back in the 80's/90's I let them do 3-letter words and I had to follow the rules. Made for an exciting game and gave them lots of confidence building small victories.
Thanks Paul for reviewing this one.

While I'm glad everyone enjoyed the review, there is no need to keep sending me your word lists. There's no real prize, guys.
Thanks.
