I was curious. When playing with 2 players, there is no relief given (for the obvious reason that it would drag out the game to ridiculous lengths) but I can't recall seeing anything in the rules that states that when there are only 2 players remaining in a 3-4 player game that relief should no longer be awarded to the winner of conflicts.

Can somebody set me straight on this?

As soon as there are only 2 players left (in a 3 or 4 player game), no relief is given. For the very reason you stated (it would drag the game out way too long).

Page 20 of the rulebook states:

Quote:
Remember, if the game is down to the last two players, no player ever gets Relief. However, you do get Relief when you Kill the third player, after which point the game has only two players.
