My daughter and I just finished our first playing of the Das Duell expansion for Kardinal und Konig and we liked it so well, we played it again. I think the Bonus and Influence cards add a lot of control for just 2 players so the depth of play is increased. Yes, there is a lot to watch, as there is if you play a 4 or 5 player game; but it also creates ways to do the unexpected. Great fun and a real mind workout.

Oh--I won the first game by 3 points, mainly from using 2 of the Bonus cards on my last turn.
Cori won the second game by 5 points with the help of 3 of the 5 Influence cards.

I recommend this to anyone who hungers to play KuK but just can't find another player.
