In the rules, it says that when you draw, you may draw 1 to 3 cards... Is it the same number of cards that are put into the "fight". If the first player puts out 2 cards, the second player pass, he draw 1 to 3 cards (his choice) or he draws 2 cards? It's not really clear in the rules in English nor in French.

You just pick 1 to 3 cards, player's choice, regardless of the cards played that round. Usually, you take all 3 unless you are behind and trying to delay the end of the game.
