After reading through ShaunGamer's review and asking a few questions about Red Sand, Blue Sky, I purchased the PDF and got it printed off. Then I went out of my way to acquire a copy of Ludus Gladiatorious for the pre-painted minis.
I'm gearing up to actually give the game a try, and I'm looking at simply starting a solo campaign. At first, I thought about managing a gladiator school, but then I changed my mind. The plan now is to play out the life (and death?) of a single thraex gladiator.
Anyway, I'm really impressed with the structure of the game. While some solitaire rules for multiplayer games seem tacked on, these ones look to be well integrated into the gameplay.
While there are several things in the rules that don't make sense, I get the feeling this is simply because I haven't really looked over all the charts in any great detail.
I'm looking forward to giving this a shot. Although the campaign will be a solitaire game, I wonder if I could easily have other players play here and there as part of the campaign. It looks doable. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Fairly well. I posted the session reports here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/281162
I haven't played RSBS lately, but I want to get back to it. I was playing around with ATZ and SGS a bit, and then I got reading WH:A&A. Then I got distracted by summer.
Now that the weather is starting to suck again, I'm going to get THW's games out on the table again.
