We had another ice storm come through the midwest. That left us home for the day. With temperatures of 5 below, my daughters and I cannot think of a better way to spend a snow day than playing games and watching movies. Started off watching Shrek the Third. Then we each chose a game to ply a couple of times. Third games of the day, Daniel's choice: 10 Days in the USA.
This is a game that Olivia, 5 (almost 6) years old is a bit intimidated by. So, the first game Madeline and I play and Olivia plays on my team. I am able to beat Madeline, and she only gets to day three because she was waiting for a yellow plane that never showed up.
Second game Olivia decides to try it with a little help. Everyone takes their initial ten tiles and it looks like we all have a pretty good start. We build our adventures and everyone is doing pretty good. The game is rather quick and ends only about 6 rounds in. Olivia is able to pull out the win, with a little advice here and there, but both Madeline and I are only one tile away from our own 10 day trip.
Final trips: Olivia: Wisconsin, car, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, car, Kansas, plane, Arizona, New Mexico.
Madeline: Georgia, car, North Carolina, Virginia, car, Tennessee, plane, Montana, Idaho, bust(Vermont).
Mine: Massachusetts, plane, Kentucky, Missouri, Iowa, car, North Dakota, bust(Blue plane), California, Nevada.
On to the next game, group choice: Hey! That's My Fish!
Thanks for reading.
