While I like the Champions of the Galaxy GWF fed I was intrigued by the aCe expansion/fed for being more sci-fi and horror like. I was not disappointed with what I found. The aCe is based around a war (the first set is titled, The Battle for Centra). To try and sum it up without spoiling too much of the story to be uncovered while playing. All of these different groups and people are at war with each other and create wrestling title belts made out of a coveted 'Essense'. Here are some of the things I love about the aCe.
Story:5/5 I love the sci-fi horror/war theme. With the way the aCe is set up playing a war in the wrestling ring actually works! It is at it's core good vs. evil with new people joining the fight and others dying along the way. The story makes it easier to get into the game and makes it more enjoyable to play.
Game Parts:5/5 The artwork and cards for the aCe look nothing short of great. Some of my favorites are Shepard (a masked priest), Noxious and Rotwurm (zombies), Godsend (a devil/demon), and Exodus and Gabriel (Angels). There really isn't a bad looking card in the bunch and if you buy the cards through their Online Stat Tracker and Game Table you can even see this great artwork colored!
Game Play: 4/5 The cool thing about the aCe is that it is basically about a war going on. While playing the game I have almost lost some of my characters to the zombie creating plague. There are other mechanics with certain wrestling moves having different effects on the different races of characters in the aCe. The only downfall of the coll mechanics is that you really have to pay attention to who is fighting who and how it affects different characters.
Fun/Creativity: 6/5 This is where any Champions of the Galaxy edition shines. While there is a story to go off of. The creators have left it open enough to run your fed as you like. You can run promos for your characters or even run specialty matches that are given in the sets or bootleg specialty matches created by fans of the game, or create one yourself like I did for my Hardcore division.
Overall: 5/5 I have to give aCe (2119-2121) a five out of five. While maybe not being the best of all of the Champions of the Galaxy editions, this is the one to have really drawn me into the game. If you are into sci-fi/horror games these aCe sets may be for you. If you like your wrestling to be more 'normal' or 'straight' then this probably shouldn't be your first choice in Champions of the Galaxy, but if you love the ideas of fighting a war, zombies, plagues, devils, angels, and good vs. evil, then aCe 2119-2121 is for you!

Very cool to see a CotG review on BGG. I've been thinking of doing the same, but haven't gotten around to it. Hope to see more.

aCe is well-written and well done by all involved. It has a strong writer in Kris Osk. It has an easy game play method that is quick to learn thanks to COTG and it also has great art as well. The game is fun to play by yourself or run a series of matches with your friends.
