Ok, I'm going to jump right in.

Components
In this game you get a 6"x9" plastic bag which contains all the games components. In the bag is the rules booklet, 63 Access Denied Cards, 36 bingo chips in 6 colors, 6 blue sector cards, 2 playeraid cards and a red warning paper proclaiming , "Warning, small parts!".
The cards and sector cards are a little thin. They could be made of a little thicker paper. The cards are plain, but functional.

Start
Everyone takes 6 of 1 color of the markers and is dealt 1 sector and 6 cards. They place the sector in front of them and put a marker on the title to show they "control" it. The have root access to that sector.
Each sector has 1 bonus or "special ability". Then using the codes on the bottom of the cards, you assign a 3 letter password to your sector.

Wining
To win you must gain root access to 2 more sectors. You have to to go from "No access" to "User Access" to "Oper Access" to the final "Root Access" on each sector.

Turn overview
The game includes 2 player aid sheets.

1. Free Access Attempt - You now can make 1 free attempt to improve your access to any sector.

2. Take actions
You can take as many actions as you have root accesses. You can:
-Make an access attempt
-Play a card from your hand
-Trade a card with someone (or try to trade a card- in our games we didn't exercise this option as much)

The cards-

Instant Cards - Played at anytime
Upgrade Cards - boost your own sector
Attack cards - played against a sector.
Negative cards - you don't want to be holding these on your turn
Some cards have key symbols, showing that you have to have a minimum access level to use it.

3. Discard cards - Your limit is linked to the number of different sectors you have access to.

4. Draw cards - Again, it's linked to your access levels. This time it's root + oper access levels.

Improving access.
To try to gain a better access level, you show the controller of that sector a number of cards depending on your existing level of access. If your cards and the password of the sector match, your cards are returned and you are granted access. If they don't match, "Access Denied" is shouted gleefully by the that sector's controller and they keep all offending cards (you keep the right ones). Here is where the checklist sheets come in handy and you can mark what you know about a sector.

Pros: The game is fairly fast to lean and the turns play quickly with almost no downtime as the players are interacting constantly with each other's sectors.

Cons: The game is more of a "Cheapass" type game as the quality is not so grand. Also the theme may not appeal to everyone.

Why I like the game:
- Cool theme -you are trying to "hack" into other sectors.
- Very portable
- I like how a lot of things are linked to the number of different access levels you have.

-My Rating - 7
