I am going to play this scenario for the first time and had a question.
To satisfy the objective of having 4 of the required items in the building, do your characters have to go into the stockpile building and have the all items in their possession at that time to win or can they for example drop off one item, search and then drop off another one, etc?

From what I understand, heroes cannot set things down. They can carry an item, give it to another hero in the same space, discard it from use, or lose it due to various card actions. They can't set things down though.
