Besides the one order card given to the players at the start, how do you get more of them? Defeat the hydra? Two cards are openly laid at the top of the game board .Are there other ways to obtain this card . I know You can get extra action cards by defeating another player.

The order cards are gained whenever a player fulfills one of them. Everyone can read the two that are on the board and attempt to fulfill them, regardless of whether they need to sail to fulfill them or not. As soon as a player fulfills one he takes it and turns over a new one so that there are always two on the board. The card indicates how many VPs it's worth. Further details and examples are in my explanatory thread.

You never get new order cards into your hand. Two cards are always face up on the board, and you can get the POINTS from these cards by fullfilling the orders. At which point a new card is placed face up.

The single order card each player has in his hand at the beginning of the game, is not replaced.

Hi to all!

First of all thanks for playing Deukalion! I am happy to see people enjoying the game!

I didn't realize until today that some questions concerning the rules were discussed in this English-spoken forum as only German versions of the game were yet sold in stores.

If there are any more questions I am of course happy to answer them!

All the best,
Wilfried Lepuschitz

Hi,

I have a question on an objective card. I can't read German but TedCheatham was super enough to send some English card translations.

For 2 points: Top one says deliver one blue treasure to Athens.
Bottom says sail to Zypern(Cyprus) and leave one Hoplite in the city UNTIL THE END OF GAME.

So my question in caps is when exactly can this card be scored and replaced(if on the board).

Thanks

I don't see how it can be played anyway else but this:

You take the card immediately upon placing a Warrior at Cyprus.
Then you make a mental note that you received the card due to the bottom part and not the top part (we keep the card away from the other cards won).

Should the Warrior be expelled from Cyprus will the card be discarded immediately.

Mik is correct with saying that you immediately get the card when you either delivered the chest to Athens or placed your warrior at Cyprus.

Interesting way of playing that you discard the card if somebody attacked Cyprus afterwards successfully. We never thought about that but I think it's a nice idea!

All the best,
Wilfried
