We had this come up during our first play of Revenge of the Dead.
A hero with hedge trimmers is in a space with 2 zombie heroes and a regular zombie, so he gets 5 fight dice. When he goes to fight one of the zombie heroes, he rolls higher than the zombie player and gets two sets of doubles.
Does this cause two wounds on the zombie hero?

Unfortunately not. The most you can do to your opponent in a fight is to inflict a single wound (with the exception of weapons that instantly 'Kill').

Thanks for the official ruling. I couldn't find anything in the FAQ, and I imagine it never came up before the Hedge Trimmers card was released.
BTW, the heroes got completely slaughtered in this scenario. Go zombies!
