The rules make it sound like you win only when you discard your last card, and not just run out of cards in your hand.

However, when someone gets A bit unlucky or Really unlucky after getting the poo card, they draw 2 or 4 card respectively from another players hand. What confuses me is that you only fill your hand back up to five cards if you fail in finding a match, but what if you don't and you manage to discard your entire hand (which could've been as small as a single card if someone pulled four cards from you after getting really unlucky), what happens then?

Two years late!

The rules for the English edition By Golly! just says to draw cards from another player. It doesn't say to take from the player's hand; in fact, by using the word draw I believe they mean to take from the player's draw pile.

Hmmm... interesting, that could very well be. I haven't played it in a while, but it's a game I've played quite a bit and really enjoy, but we've always drawn the cards from a player's cards in hand.

We have the German edition but with English rules. In the German rules it says: "... sofort zwei Handkarten von..." so it sounds like those are cards in hand, not from your deck. If you were to draw from the deck, what would happen if no player had any cards left in their deck?

On the topic of when the game ends, we have always played that it ends when you have gotten rid of ALL cards you have, both in your hand and in your starting stack.

Yeah I cannot even understand my original question, and think that this is what we used to do as well, but I'll check with my wife (who plays it regularly with her younger students) and my daughters.
