There are a number of excellent reviews on this game so I thought it would present it to you as presented to me by my 5 year old son when I walked in the door yesterday.

Excitement Level
DaddydaddyIGotANewGameForMyBirfday! You make snakes!

Translation. Father, I am so glad to see you have returned home from work, bringing home the bacon as it were. Your friend, my godmother, was kind enough to present me with a gift on the occaision of my 5th birthday. It is a game called Hisss and you make snakes!

Comment. So, initial interest level is very high. He spoke it pretty much as written.

Rules
YouMakeThemFromTheColorsAndIfYouHaveANewColorYouMakeANewSnake!

Translation. The tiles are placed in a pool on the table and each player takes a turn drawing a tile from the pool. Each snake requires a head tile, a tail tile and one or more middle section tiles. The tiles are colored. If the pulled tile matches one or more tiles in play it must be matched to one of the tiles. If it does not match then a new snake is started.

YouCanUseTheMulticolorForAnyoneYouWant!

Translation. One head and one tail tile are multicolored and may be matched to any color snake under construction.

WhoMakesTheBiggestSnakeWins!

Translation. At the end of the game, when no more snakes can be constructed, the players total the number of tiles in the snakes they have completed and the player with the largest number of snake tiles is the victor.

Comment. The rules were easily picked up by my 5 year old.

SUMMARY
YouCanPlayThisGameIfYouWantToEvenAfterIGoToBed.

Translation. This game is so utterly enjoyable that I know you will want to play it even after I have encountered slumber's sweet embrace. You have my permission to play this game even when I am not available.

Comment. This is the highest praise my 5 year old can give. I am not sure how much replay we are going to get out of it, he could have handled it at 4 years old but for now it looks like I will be playing it every night for the next couple evenings.
