Has anyone had any experience using the Descent dungeon tiles for a game of Dungeonbowl?

I have the DB rules, but no other suitable floor-plans, and I'm reluctant to make/buy a set before I've tried the game out.

Would the 4 'alcoves' on each Descent tile cause any issues? Is there anything else that would be a pain?

I played a lot of DungeonBowl (especially our multi-player variant) and I own Descent. Though I never actually used the tiles from Descent, (we play it in a 3D maze) I can not see any reason, why it shouldn't work just perfect.

Not very long ago, GW has been selling the tiles from Warhammer Quest to play DungeonBowl on them. Even though I like the graphics of the WQ-boards a lot, I consider the Descent tiles much more versatile, which is a good thing for DB. You can also build bigger rooms with the Descent tiles, which is a little more in the style of the old original DB-tiles.

The alcoves are no problem at all. They actually should make nice places to put the treasure chests in them.
