I had this game when I was 8 years old and I remember playing the game with my older brothers... Years and years gone by and I was helping a friend find some tools in his garage and what did I find sitting on the shelf covered with tons and tons of dust... this little jewel from my childhood! It did not take very muck to convince him to let me take this guy home... a lunch at Taco bell... what a fool.

Anyways, I broke it out and my 18year old son had to play it with me... He was the Allies controlling the 94th and 95th air corp and I was the dreaded German Jagdstaffel 10 and Jagdstaffel 11.
Now on too the game play!!!
Both of us sent our planes towards each other without considering the strategy of the game. With the second turn of the game, I was able to maneuver into position to take out my first Allie plan from the 95th. Before I could even get my newly aced pilot back to re-card, he was revenged by the pilot from the 94th. As my son went to land that plane, he was gunned down as well. My son then played very aggressive and tried to take my ace pilot out...with no success. Before he knew it, he was down to only two planes left in the 95th, and I still have 5 of my planes, 1 double ace and one ace. I now got very confident and went right at him with both planes fully loaded with cards. little did I know that he drew 2 loop cards and 2 burst cards. I flew my double ace in behind... I play a burst and he counters with a loop+burst... I counter with my own loop+burst card... he counters that with his final loop+burst combo! with a scream you can hear my double ace crash and burn. only being 3 spaces from home, on his next roll he was able to land. I fly around while bringing another plane out to help in the battle. He comes out and both of our ace pilots go at it... I head on to him and play my 5 burst and he counters with his out 5 burst. On his turn he rolls a 4 and is right back in front and hits be again with another 5 burst card. The highest I had was a 4 and down goes that guy... Now I am in trouble. He has a double ace pilot and I am down too three planes, all from the same squadron so I lose my two on one advantage.
He takes out my plane in the air and without re-carding screams to my side of the board. My 2nd plane comes out and we go head on and we both play 4 burst cards... he then maneuvers to my side and I barrel roll out... I maneuver to his side and he does not have a barrel roll card and down his plane goes... two on one... I reload and we both head towards the center of the board. I move in behind him and burst him... he counters with a loop+burst combo and down my plane goes... he lands why I send my last plane out... He plays first and goes head to head with me and we both play 5 burst cards... I then roll a 2 and get right back in front and we both play 3 burst cards... He then moves to my side and burst and I do not have a barrel role card... I go down in flames any my son pulls out a victory after being down 5 planes to 2 with two of his foes and ace and a double ace...
I guess I was a little rusty after 30 years...
