This is my first posting, so I'll begin by establishing my experience with Munchkin. I first played at over Christmas and enjoyed it so I bought my own copy and introduced it to some other friends. I enjoy the dynamics of Munchkin, however sometimes games can run long. In a recent game with 4 of us we played for an hour and had all ended up back at level 1.
One annoying aspect of Munchkin is the lack of any sort of level counter. My group used pennies but it is far from ideal. Seeing these Dice were available I decided to give them a go, and I was not disappointed.
There are 6 different coloured large 10 sided dice. They are good quality and easy to use for level counters. There are also 14 additional cards. My set came with an extra blank Go Up A Level card, an added bonus to be customised. There are also an interesting extra set of rules for using the Munchkin Dice in play. This requires rolling the die instead of just using as a level counter, which wouldn't be a problem in our group as we never number 6 so always would have a spare.
Since our group is new to Munchkin we didn't use the new rules, but did add the new cards to the deck. The dice made keeping track of levels a lot easier, and was useful at being able to see everyone's level at a glance. The game went much quicker then our previous games, a combination of all players getting better with the game and the addition of the new cards.
The are 3 card types in particular that added a great deal to the game; High, Dark, and Master. You get 3 of each, and I don't believe they come with any other expansion. These cards are great as they are added to either Class or Race cards and speed up the game. The Master card gains you extra treasures, the High card allows you to trade winning treasures for an additional level, and the Dark card allows you to gain extra levels by playing cards or using abilities against other players.
These cards change the dynamic of the game. Now a player may ask for all treasures instead of some from a battle to stop a player trading any for an extra treasure. if they are High. Or a player may decide to play +10 to a Moster earlier in the game instead of holding till the end as they will get an extra level from being Dark.
The main downfall of Munchkin Dice is the price, it cost me £10 in England to purchase it. However considering the quality of the Dice and the positive addition of the new cards, I've found it to be a worthy purchase.
Munchkin as a whole I'd rate 8/10. As an expansion, I'd rate Munchkin Dice 9/10.

Wish I could find this for a reasonable price, my daughter and I LOVE munchkin! I see a few promos and out of print items I'd love to have, but not at 75 bucks!
Wish there was a scan/pdf of the cards at least, so I could sleeve some printouts and use them.
