There are 7 games I want to play by June 30th, 2012

After dinner, my 3 year old daughter brought a game from her closet and asked that we play. This is common. What was a bit unusual was that she brought out Froggy Boogie. We hadn't played this game much lately, and, of course, I agreed.
Frankly, Froggy Boogie is not a game I like too much. It looks great and the idea seems simple and good enough for young kids. Yet, for whatever reason, my kids have never paid enough attention during the game to remember anything... that's a bad thing in a Memory game. It's not that they aren't capable (my 5 year old consistently annihilates us in Chicken Cha Cha Cha; I seriously struggle to keep up with her memory skills in this game).
Anyway, we set up Froggy Boogie for three players... myself and my two daughters (3 and 5). And, we set it up with 9 small lily pads instead of 11, in order to get the game to a finish in a reasonable time frame.
My 3 year old started out as the youngest player and, lucky for her, she pulled up the blank eye to move ahead a space. Then, she did it again. And, again. And, again. You get the idea. She actually proceeded to get the correct eye 9 consecutive times and won the game without the 5 year old or me getting a turn. She used memory for a few of these pulls, but she was a bit fortunate too. We all had a good laugh and my 3 year old was beaming and ran to the other room to tell her mom about what just happened.
Usually, when we finish a game of Froggy Boogie I am quick to offer a different game right away. But this time, I had to play again. I mean, gee-whiz, I hadn't even taken a turn yet. So, I mixed up all the eyes and set them up again with each momma frog having a blank eye and a "frog" eye.
My 3 year old started out again as the youngest and was lucky again on her first pull. Astonishingly, she pulled a second blank eye. And then a third. Then a fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth. I kid you not, she beat us again without anyone else getting a turn. Thank goodness my 5 year old has a good attitude or things could have gotten ugly. In fact, we were all really getting a big kick out of what just happened. The odds against this have to be staggering. It was super.
Of course, I just had to see if it could happen three times in a row. On the first turn of the third game, my 3 year old turned up a "frog" eye. Finally. She said to me, "dad, why do you mix them up before a new game?" That really made my night. Of course, she was copying what I was saying in between each game which was something like, "I'm going to mix up the eyes for the next game." Still, it was funny.
In this game, my 5 year old jumped out to quite a lead with me not too far behind. My 3 year old must have been fatigued from the first 2 games because she was only one lily pad in when my 5 year old reached the next-to-last space. Somehow, I pieced together five consecutive blank eye pulls to take over the win though. What a battle!
I told them it was the most fun I'd ever had playing Froggy Boogie.
