Here's my take on the scoring variant.

Components needed:

- 6 cubes of each of the colors

Rule:

- Every player starts with 3 cubes, one for each other player's color.
- All other cubes are placed in a bag or any type of container.

- When scoring, th eplayer announces which other player will benefit in the scoring. He puts the colored cube associated with that player back in the box.

- The player then picks one other cube from the bag/container.

- If no cubes are left, the player now has only 2 cubes to choose from.

This prevents all other players benefiting of the scoring round.
But at the same time, gives an "equal" chance for all other player to be in a scoring round started by other players.
