I'm sure this is probably just a mistake with my copy but I thought I'd give everyone a heads up just in case it might be a batch problem - the mission and tutorial CDs in my copy were labelled the wrong way round. I thought something was wrong when we had serious internal threats showing up!

Mine to, but there was a note in the box warning me of the problem, so it didn't catch me out.

Did you check carefully for a note?

Feeling great. How about you?
Well I don't know why I love you like I do. Nobody in the world can get along with you.

I was just about to reply that exactly the same thing happened to me last night, but then I remembered who I was playing with. That would have been pretty embarrassing, wouldn't it?

I had a note about the printing mistake on the stealth fighter card but I didn't notice anything about the CDs

Same here, however I saw this thread before I tested the CD ... so I went to check and I have got the same problem.

Same problem. No note. Made the first training mission a little confusing at first.

Same happened here. There was an errata slip pointing out that there was an incorrect and a corect printing of the stealth fighter card, but not one pointing out the wrong labelling on the CDs.

Can someone tell us what the first couple things that are said on the 1st tutorial are? That way we can check to make sure that we are listening to the correct CD.

If the first announcement that comes up mentions something about an Internal Threat then you know you haven't got the tutorial disk playing.

Same here (as everyone else it seems), but does this mean that we're missing one card from the original deck?

I had two copies of the stealth fighter, the one with the 4 speed we were to remove, and the correct one with the 3 speed.

Follow along with the mission cards. Alternately, if you can display time remaining, the first two tutorials are 7 minute tracks instead of 10 minutes.

What is really weird is that when I looked closely at my Tutorial CD, it almost looks like the label for the Mission CD was printed OVER the label for the Tutorial CD.

There are raised areas where I can see SPACE ALERT and TUTORIAL CD under the existing label.

Easiest way to check is on a computer. The first 2 training missions are 7 minutes long, the rest are around 10 minutes.

The "normal" mission CD track 1 begins immediately with a "serious threat", which doesn't exist in the training mission. That was my clue (fortunately about 1 second into the track).

Mine were revered.

Saw this thread and checked before we played.
Anoying but in the end not a big deal.

Oh good, this is has been a common issue and not just my luck with opening board games... (Me to Store Owner: "So maybe I'm presuming a little too much, but I thought Catan: Seafarers came with ships")

Got the note about the card misprint but not the CD Labels...

Same experience as everyone else - Thoughthammer copy, mislabeled CDs, note for stealth fighter card but not for the CDs.

At first, we thought the game was having fun with us - Lesson 4 after the SPOILER section would read "now, let's talk about how to deal with all that craziness we forgot to tell you about", as that joke would fit with the flavor text in the handbook. However, once we got to the third phase, we knew it was definitely wrong.

Ditto on mislabeled CDs - only note was regarding the stealth fighter cards.

Game obtained from Funagain

It made for an interesting first run for my group - we caught on after about 3 minutes...

Same experience here - Boards & Bits copy, mislabeled CDs with the impression of a prior label underneath, and a note for the stealth fighter card but not for the CDs.

Although the CDs are labeled Tutorial and Mission... what I thought I received was two mission CDs.

Edit: Doh!

My bad. Know what happens when you get clumsy and drop both discs while comparing them on the computer? You end up ripping the same one twice and thinking they packed the wrong stuff inside your game box.

All is fine.

The fact they actually start with the same announcement added to my confusion.
