I'm getting ready for my trip to Germany, so I don't know if I'll be able to update the first post. Please keep adding, though!

Ra? Is that the new Priests of Ra or Ra: The Dice Game, or just regular ol' Ra? Or something else entirely?

The most noticeable absence from the list appears to be At the Gates of Loyang, but I gather many people may just be buying that one without playing it based on Agricola and Le Havre, so not enough people playing it to rate it... or are people playing it and disappointed? Hmmmm.

Will be interesting to see how the list evolves over the next few days

Since it's by Abakus, it's the new release of Ra

I'm seeing a lot of people buying it, sight unseen. Ditto Farmers of the Moor.

There are demos available for those who want them, but most people aren't taking the time.

I got both unseen: both have had enough information out that I know what I'm getting and so I want to spend my demo time on things I am not familiar with. At least that's my reasoning...

I buy the games I really like the look of from pre Essen research, then try and get a play of the ones I am not sure about, so bought Loyang, Shipyard, Factory Manager without playing or watching a demo.
It depends on the availability of tables as well, might have got Dawinchi but couldn't get a look in at a table. With Loyang had decided I wanted it, that there were unlikly to be an opportunity to play it in English so bought it and moved on.

It is very hard to find time to write anything for my blog. We go to the convention after breakfast and we have dinner when we get back and then we just talk and play a game or two before going to bed. I've taken almost 150 photos though and I'll be uploading them when I get back home, so tomorrow at the earliest.

Yeah, I've been replying here off-the-cuff since I have internet, but a real blog post about the show won't be composed until after I'm on the train out of Essen. Photos have to wait until I get back to the USA.
