Rummy Tournament using PLAY4D Playing Cards
No Experience Required!

Location: IllumiNOW (PLAY4D) vendor table outside of the Oak Ballroom, near BGG.CON Registration
Times: On-the-hour on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Total Time Per Match: About 15-30 Minutes
Number of Hands per Match: Two Hands
Number of Players Per Match: 3
Prize to Winner of Match: Free Standard Edition PLAY4D Deck Set

Final Match: The winner of each 3-Player Match qualifies to play the Final Match
Final Match Prizes:
1st Place -- Rolling Duffel Bag ($75 Value)
2nd Place -- Limited Edition PLAY4D Deck Set
3rd Place -- Standard Edition PLAY4D Deck Set

OFFICIAL PLAY4D RUMMY TOURNAMENT RULES

TRADITIONAL POINTS
50 POINTS -- Joker
15 POINTS -- Aces
10 POINTS -- 10-King
05 POINTS -- 2-9

1. JOKER
A. Wild Card
B. Static. Can't be moved.
C. Joker played in a group/set becomes fixed in value once a fourth card is the group/set is played. You can't add a "fifth" card to the group/set.

2. ACES
A. Play as high or low rank. For example, Ace-2-3 or Queen-King-Ace.
B. Can't wrap around. For example, King-Ace-2 is not valid.

3. DISCARD PILE
A. Top card may be picked up without having to meld it.
B. Bottom card must be melded.
C. Rummy Last Discard.
-- Only players who did not discard the card that can be melded can rummy a discarded card.
-- The "rummied" card must be melded immediately by the player who called "Rummy".

4. VALID MELDS
A. A Group/Set is three or four of a kind.
B. A Sequence/Run is three or more sequential ranks within the same suit.
C. Extended Melds. Any player may add one or more cards to an existing meld.

5. GOING OUT
A. A player going out must be able to play their last card on the discard pile.

6. SCORING
A. Score PLAY4D Bonus points first.
B. Score traditional points last.
