Kronenbourg 1664. This and the Leffe blonde used to be my favourite lagers when I was a teenager. The 1664 was much cheaper though.

So why hasn't this thread made the cut as one of the GREATEST threads of all of BGG?
I DEMAND that Aldie recognize the GENIUS of this thread, as well as give due respect to the damage that we have all done to our livers- SELFLESSLY- so that the rest of BGG can enjoy good booze.
I do so solemmnly pledge that I will do everything in my power to get this thread nominated for the 'Golden Geek' or whatever the hell it is they do in other parts of this site.
That is, as soon as I can get myself off the couch and get myself another beer.

I love to just jump back to some random page and be entertained. Not sure it qualifies for any awards, as it's been going for a few years. It's also nice to interact with some of those VERY WRONG people who I disagree with on ALL of those other RSP threads.

What, you didn't enjoy that one on G+ today? That got interesting in a hurry...
It's a good thread because a good crowd showed up and, mostly, never left. Now I feel like I need to wander over to the liquor cabinet and pour something appropriate, in honor of all y'all.

Tonight it was good champagne and Kentucky Ale. Like the state, it is bland.
Fun night fellas.

Oh man. I think I would be disturbed to go back and see how many pages of this thread I've won.
Anyway, last night was Hansa Teutonica and Monuments: Wonders of Antiquity while drinking New Glarus' Imperial Weizen (very, very good), Sprecher Root Beer floats with a shot of rum in them (Sprecher is the best root beer that there is), and wrapping things up with Springbank 10 year single malt scotch.
The Springbank was a bit disappointing. They went a bit nuts with the spices in it and they were rather overpowering. Even a splash of water in this one didn't really save it.
I've probably sung the praises of New Glarus on this thread before. If not, they are one of the best breweries in Wisconsin. They've got some widely-loved beers with Spotted Cow (a weiss beer) and Fat Squirrel (the best nut brown ale I've ever had) and a special series of beers they call "Unplugged" where they let their brewer make whatever he wants. Unsurprisingly, I absolutely love this series as Dan, their master brewer, is a creative guy who makes a wide variety of weird beers and almost always gets it right. When looking last night, the choices from this series were Imperial Weizen, Oak-Aged Rye Ale, and an apple beer of some sort. We went with the Imperial Weizen, but I'm going to have to go back and get that Oak-Aged Rye Ale for tonight's gaming.

Not bad. I give it a B. As an exploration of a specific hop variety, it's an interesting experiment. I certainly had no trouble slamming it out of a pint glass while playing Rock Band, but I wouldn't say that it was good enough to distract me into stopping to savor it. On the other hand, I have a most pleasant buzz right now.
Moving on to 12 oz of Tank 7. I hope you beer lovers out there have tried this damn beer, as much as I've been touting it. It is luvely.

So Barney the opossum is OK. Apparently they are so nocturnal that during the day they are pretty much under general anesthesia anyway. The bad tooth was pulled without incident (not by me) and Barney is back to normal.
Just got back from New Orleans. I'd tell you what I drank, but my hippocampi are not doing so hot at the moment.
