Hi

After playing the Pursuit Card: "Sail to Cyprus (= Zypern) and Found a settlement", as new owner of Cyprus, can I take one of the treasures on my ship for free, or do I have to challenge the city to steal the treasure ?

and if an other player attacks this new settlement,is the value defense the same as the city Zepra ?.

In a word, does this new settlement inherit the charateristics of the city of Cyprus ?

thanks for your advices.
Denis

Hi Denis!

Sorry for the late answer - haven't been online for quite a while...

If you fulfill the mentioned question card, you may not take a treasure for free on your ship so the city still needs to be challenged for stealing the treasure - so the settlement can be seen as an extra settlement next to the city and not as part of the city of Cyprus itself.

Originally this specific settlement cannot be retaken by any other player, but it sounds like an interesting rule option! Hence, for using this optional rule I suggest to use the defense value of the city for the settlement as well.

Hope to have helped you out on that! :)

All the best,
Wilfried
