If player A starts the round with 2 fox, player B puts down a lion, player C put down 2 lions, & player D passes, can player A put down an elephant? Or is player A out of this round because he has to stay with fox?
Also, on the rules for passing, player D could jump back in to this round which player A started with 2 fox, say on turn 2 of this round? Why would player D have passed in the first place, instead of playing a card when they could have?
I'm new to card game terminology. Is this accurate: turns make up a round, and rounds make up a hand? It just seems that a round sound bigger than a hand, or am I mistaken?

1. In your example, player B would need to put down two lions.
2. You do not have to play the same animal each time.
3. Passing does not leave you out for the rest of the round. You can pass and then still play cards when it comes back around to you.

First of all player D could have passed in the first round because he wasn't able to play a card (or cards). Also could player D pass although he had a card to play. For example: he has two elephants in his hand, but is only able to play one. Now he can prefer to wait till he can play them together.
