I am not sure I do understand game ending by condition 1: "All land is completely divided into territories".

Rules say that "A territory is formed as soon as a part of the island, consisting of not more than three different landscapes has been enclosed."

Plese, look at this picture:

Let's presume, that the border-stones A, B, C are not placed yet. When stone A is placed, this will trigger the end of the game. Is this correct?

If A, B, and C have not yet been placed, then placement of A will not trigger the end of the game as there are more than 3 types of underground in the resulting enclosure: rock, rocky forest, water, grassland, forest, and mountains. For a region to be completed (which the rules call 'formed'), it has to consist of three types of underground or less.

With A, B, and C placed, the game is at an end.

It's not too easy to see from your diagram, but as far as I can see, assuming that neither A,B or C had been played then:

A or C wouldn't end the game as these would divide the remaining board into a 2 terrain area and a 4 terrain area.

B would end the game as it would divide the rest of the board into two 3 terrain territories.

Thank you guys for your effort, but it looks you disagree with each other?

Does it mean that game is over after placing each of theese stones? That's how we played it, but I don't think it's OK, becouse before placing second or third stone, game will end?

Well, I don't know. Here is a new picture:

So, when I place stone "B" (A and C are not placed yet), I will make new two terrain type territory (terrains 5 and 6, mountains and woods) and that's all, becouse rest of the area will contain four terrain types (1-rocky, 2-lake, 3-rocky_forest and 4-meadow). So the game should not end at this moment.

When I place stonce "C" (A and B stones are not placed yet), I will create "central" two terrain type territory (containing tarrains 6-mountains and one field of 5-woods) and rest of the area will contain 5 types of terrain (1-rocks, 2-lake, 3-rocky_forest, 4-meadow, 5-woods), so the game should continue.

But, when I place stone "A" (B and C are not placed yet), I will create two territories: upper left territory with three terrain types (1-rocky, 2-lake, 3-rocky_forest) and second big territory with also three terrain types (4-meadow, 5-woods, 6-mountain). So I think there is no more unclosed territory and game should end now.

Thank you very much in advance for your reactions.

Scusi. With placement of just A, the game ends, as you correctly deduced. I had forgotten that when you place A, you physically cut the area in two parts. Apologies for the confusion.

The rest of your argument is correct, too.

Thank you for your comment, Maarten. I am glad we understand each other now and also the rules

I've also figured out that all the stones could be placed in this order: C, B, A. Then you'll be right, that all stones must be places to end the game.
