Rab's been part of a new sketch show for BBC Scotland 'Burnistoun' that's been filming for the last wee while. Think that's kept him pretty busy :) Apparently Downtime Town is getting a relaunch early in the new year, so hopefully some new content and reviews should be in store then *fingers crossed*

I did a geeklist review of Endeavor which did not make this list because it is categorized as a geeklist and not a review. It has 234 thumbs, so it would have been #14 on this list.

Here is the link if anyone is interested:

What would be really interesting (for all these lists) is some sort of smoothed (think Bayesian) calculation of thumbs for the item divided by page views for the game.

After all, getting 105 thumbs for a review of Dominion (while impressive) is a lot easier (A LOT!) than getting lots of thumbs for an old 3M game or an old S&T game. Traffic patterns dictate that most of the honored "high thumb" contributions are for Cult of the New entries in the BGG database.

And there's nothing wrong with that. But this site could also honor content added for the other, less visible, games in the database don'tchathink?

I have to agree. After all, while I did get two of the top 100 this year for Twilight Struggle and Maria, my IMO almost as good review of Les Vins de France: The Game of French Wine & Food got scant attention.

Just a dang minute! I only have one of the top 100? Why am I writing for you plebeian dogs? Pearls before swine!

Nobody here appreciates brilliance. I write my ass off for you people.

I think I'm going to just throw in the towel and start saying 'methinks' a lot, so that everyone will find me much wittier, except normal people, who will think I'm a retarded dork who just escaped from a renaissance fair.

Then maybe my reviews will get the thumbs they deserve. The world will see my true genius, and I will owe it all to William Shakespeare and countless members of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

I know it's hardly recent, but this is a fantastic list, I've spent much of my evening ploughing through these reviews, there are some wonderful pieces here. Too good to let slip into oblivion.
