I've created an LDRAW file of Dave's units (not the Ogre).

http://www.efran.org/embassy/gev-micro.ldr

I also included my version of the GEV-PC, and this alternate LGEV:

The LDRAW file should be a pretty good shopping/building guide.

I couldn't help working on this stuff a bit more. That McWeasely mini-scale Ogre is fantastic, but when I pulled out my large-size Ogre map (1.5" hexes) to try out some of these designs, I decided I wanted to have an Ogre that came closer to fitting in a single hex. (I don't have the parts to build the new one yet, but it's about the same size as my old ones.)

Here's the Mk III I built. Compact and passably Ogre-ish, though kind of chunky:

I'm sure someone can do better, but it's a start.

And as cute as those HVY's are, I wanted something closer to the classic wedge shape on the counter art. Sorry about the colors:

Then I went crazy making buildings....

Command Posts: Standard and two levels of hardened:

Radar and Jammer:

Laser Turret and Tower:

Of course, there's infinite potential for improvisation in buildings...and other scenario objectives. I'm thinking trucks and trains are next....

I just noticed that my first photo of the Mark III made it look light gray (with white and red weapons). It's actually dark gray (with light gray and dark red weapons):

When I was a kid, Jaws was the horror movie that had all the kids scared, and a grey fin was enough to remind people of the shark. Your Ogre reminds me of Jaws.

Glad to hear it! I figure it was no accident that the OGRE rulebook's flavor text opens with an Ogre rising terrifyingly out of water. I always design my Ogres with that kind of reveal in mind.

I'm going to go ahead and name that design "Jaws". I got a bunch of new parts since then, so I recently upgraded Jaws into...um, Jaws 2. And made him a big brother, Jaws 3. Enjoy!

Since then, I've made smaller and smaller trucks until I found something I really liked.

That suggested a new approach. Here's the GEV:

And the GEV-PC:

And the LGEV:

And the tanks:

As usual, I went crazy and built all the Ogre, G.E.V., and Shockwave units, plus a few extras. I don't want to paste in every picture; please visit my page, http://www.efran.org/embassy/lego-gev.html, to see them all. But here are a few more of my favorites:

The Howitzer:

Some rubble:

The Train:

Hi, I'm new here. I recently discovered Ogre Miniatures, and was delighted to see a great war game I could combine with Lego, and even more so when I saw this thread. I was inspired to try to make my own Lego Ogre Miniatures, so here they are.

Yeah, that heli rocks!

I really like your tank treads. And that OGRE is scary. Well played.

That beautiful tiny helicopter drove me back to the drawing board - literally: that's where I keep my LEGO OGRE - and I've come up with yet another rendition.

This one is specifically Combine forces from "the near future" - so they're less futuristic than usual.

I'm particularly proud of the black helicopters, which are just three LEGO parts each (not counting the stand).
