Tried to get a hold of those 3 extra cards for my daughter, wow... The cheapest offer I got was well over 10$ (can't tell real amount to protect users id).... for 3 little cards that were originally free! COME ON !
Sorry I had to vent this off, I would understand if those were ebay auctions, but BGG members offers sent directly to me, please show some respect!
Sorry again for my rant, have a nice day!

Expensive? Yes, probably. Would I pay that amount? No. Absolutely not.
But I'm not sure this shows lack of conscience of the seller. Its simply a free market, and is what a lot of free market enterprise is based on, Supply and demand.
Apologies if my reply offends or upsets you - it is certainly not my intention.
Good luck in your search.

It's really only a matter of supply and demand if someone is willing to pay that price. If not all you have is supply.

Agreed. The seller either waits, or lowers their price. Makes no difference to me - or the op - either way.

Yep, seems to me the seller will either lower the price or keep the cards - can't imagine anyone other than a collector buying them at that price and that may even be a stretch. Especially when Kevin just offered them up for free in a prior post.

Good luck in your search. Neil, no offense taken!
As explained in my original post, I had to vent some frustration after being contacted thrice with overpriced offers because I had this tagged as "Want to trade/Want to buy" in my collection, that's all.
Anyways, thankfully there are other very generous members on BGG!

This is unrelated to Jamaica, but for what it's worth, and to show my appreciation of the generosity of this awesome geek community, I decided to give away a little something as well:

Yeah, free market and all is fine.
The frustration comes in gaming materials out there, sitting on a shelf, not being used!!!

Speaking as one coming late to the party - - I'm very glad that someone has these to sell for only $10.00.

If the price hadn't deterred earier buyers, there'd be none left for me!
I enjoy playing Jamaica so much; these cards will be used and appreciated.
And, really now, it is all about Pirating.

I have actually made some copies for my game,
I got some information about what type of card to use and using the file showing the cards, along with a little work in MS paint.

Have a go I did.

Your attitude is repulsive and it's exactly why this country is going down hill. You want something that someone else has, you don't like their price so you attack their character and call them immoral. You should thank them for offering to sell to you. If you don't like the price, walk away. That's how markets work. Apparently those cards are worth more to the people that own them then they are to you - no wait, you seem to know better than they do what price they should set.
This is the same attitude that says that people that make a lot of money should give it to people that don't. Entrepreneurs that found businesses should give money to people that don't feel like working. You must admire Obama for demanding that people that make over $250K pay their fair share, despite the fact that the top 10% of wage earners already pay 70% of the income tax while the bottom 50% pays zero.
We don't need more "fair". We need more personal responsibility. Man up son.

That's great! Nothing like pirating a piracy game! Those evil designers deserve it for charging so much. In fact, why not be even more creative and just photocopy the board and the cards as well? If they won't charge a fair price then it's our responsibility to steal from them! That'll teach them to abuse us with all of their great games. Thanks Bags!

Wow dude, really? Jump to conclusions much? All the cat did was say that he made his own copies of the three FREE CARDS, which are incidentally no longer readily available from the designer/publisher.
Additionally, all the OP was doing was venting his frustration that a few of the people currently selling the cards were doing so at what he considered an exorbitant price. Surely, that's his right? It is, after all, an opinion about something related to this community. You are, of course, free to courteously disagree with his opinion. I think the operative word here would be "courteously."
I can't see how the OP's opinion opened the door for you to vent your current political frustrations. I think you might need to ratchet it down a bit and perhaps spew your rants in another, more appropriate, forum?

Yes, I know a proper 18XX tile should have a tile number.

I paid $13.50 for one card (an Essen freebie for another game) not too long ago. Free market and all that.
I can't criticize people for wanting to get what they see as the market value for an OOP expansion.

$10 isn't that much. Honestly, the effort to package and mail something is almost not worth it for just $2-3. I just bought the Ghost Stories expansion through the BGG Marketplace for $10 and it has similar content (5 cards and a tile). On the one hand, that's 1/3 the cost of the base game. But I see it as a fair price for the time and energy of the guy who sent me a brand new copy of what I needed.
