Lately I've been playing and enjoying quite a bit of 'base' rule Steam with both of my sons and would really like to know if this AoS: Zombie Apocalypse game can be converted successfully. I have not read the rules to this game, though I have read Mikko's review. I get the impression that the idea of Zombie 'spawn' creates a similar tension in this game to that of eradicating relentless viruses in Pandemic. This looks like a lot of fun.
The Michigan map looks to be tight enough to accommodate the three of us and I think we can work with the action/income/share track.
I would appreciate any info from anyone regarding playing this game with Base and/or Standard rules to Steam.
I may go ahead and pick this up just to see if I can MAKE it work. Boys and Zombies go together like milk and cookies... at least in my house it does.

From what I remember, this would work fine with base Steam -- just need to randomly determine which starting cities get zombies, but otherwise use the expansion rules as they are to modify City Growth and Urb.

Thank you snoozefest. I'll keep it in my pending 'shopping cart' at Boards & Bits for now.

UPDATE: I now own and have played AoS along with base and standard Steam.
Zombie Apocalypse works flawlessly with base/standard Steam. The Production/Good Growth mechanism in AoS is replaced with a simplified and elegant Production principle where 1 of 3 drawn cubes are placed to a non-razed city.
