Is it compatible with the old edition from 2000?

I spent 100 Geek Gold and all I got was this lousy overtext message!

Yes. I picked up a copy and the card backs and sizes matched perfect.

I didn't know what to do with my UberBadge, so I left it as a GeekBadge.

I'd say it's mostly compatible. You can tell the difference between the new and old cards if you look in the right light, and they feel different. The new cards have a more glossy finish to them. It's pretty obvious when you're going to draw one of the new cards, and it makes randomising your starting ID tricky.

I got it a couple of days ago, and the cards are cut in a slightly different shape from the original game: the corners are less "blunt". I shuffled the three new patches into the deck, and the corners on the new cards stick out noticeably beyond the rest of the deck. Kinda disappointing.

I didn't realize they changed, I have the Gore years, but I got it back when it first came out. So the cards are cut differently now? Or, I should be extra careful with my set because replacements won't match lol

Huh? There's only been one printing of the Gore deck according to BGG.

I own the first edition (first printing) of the Chrononauts base game, and the Gore cards are cut differently than the base game cards--and the difference is highly noticeable.
