I, too, have the German Parker edition, but I don't think that makes a difference.
There are:
4 cities worth 4.
4 cities worth 3.
4 cities worth 2.
7 cathedrals.
7 castles....
....for a total of 26
....which, as it turns out, is precisely how many it says there should be in my rulebook. Rejoice, you have lost none!
