I love this game! I picked it up for a dollar at Value Village and we have really gotten our moneys worth out of it. I went online to see if I could buy another copy with some extra bankbooks and I noticed that none of the characters are painted. All the characters are painted in my game and are very detailed (making me believe they were not hand painted). I know there were several different versions of this game released and that value village is known for combining pieces from different games in order to get a full set. What release (if any) had painted pieces. I have looked all over online and I can't find anything like what I have. I don't think we would enjoy the game as much without those blank pieces. We think that the characters and their personalities is part of what really makes this game fun for us.
