After doing several school assignments for a friend, I have the money to purchase a game from the local game shop. I've noticed several games including C&C 4 on the shelves. I am not sure about this one.
I already have the C&C base game, expansions 1 - 3, and epic battles. I have the choice of getting C&C 4, but I am debating whether I should spend the money on another game. The biggest thing is do I really need another expansion when I have most of the games. Imperial Rome seems like a nice luxury, but nothing too necessary.
I would like to hear the current owners reasons for buying this one or what they enjoy about this expansion to help my buying decision. All feedback is appreciated.

The main reason for buying any new C&CA expansion is for the new scenarios. What I'd suggest you do is to thumb through the listing of everything in Expansion 4 and see if it looks interesting:

One item at the link...

Breaks down what comes in the box. That, and the list of scenarios, should give you a real feel for "do I want this?".
Brief description of the scenarios that gives you more than a name and date.

I was definitely in the "why another Roman army?" camp when I first heard about this, especially since adding 'one more army' meant I had to change my storage/travel system. Even so, I'm glad I have this one.

I'm like you; I have everything except Expansion #4. I don't plan to purchase it. I have enough of Rome to last me for quite some time. However, if something different hits the P500...

Like C&C Napoleonics.....yeah that is the general idea I have been thinking as well. I just want to see if anyone can convince me to go for this expansion.

Well, I was going to skip Exp#4 and buy instead CC:Nap, but then I'm reconsidering it... Buying Exp#4 will be cheaper, I'll get the complete game, and I'll avoid going into a new game and all its expansions to come!

CC:Nap looks great though, I hope a friend of mine will buy it...

Franchi, we NEED you to get this expansion, so you will do us the special leader for the purple roman army!
(and while you're at it, a boudica would be handy too, since she is in one scenario in this expansion and another in the upcoming C3i).

Well, it appears fate wants me to get this expansion after all. I managed to snag a copy of this game for $30, so I couldn't refuse the deal. Thanks everyone for your response and I'll be looking forward to the special leader pieces.

An enire new Roman army was completely unnecessary, as the posts of me and others explained at the time.
I suspect someone at GMT ordered a gazillion purple blocks and had to do something with them. LOL!
Additionally, it could have contained scenarios going up to at least 600 A.D.
The whole expansion could have been a bagged set with about 24 blocks and stickers and at least twelve additional scenario cards for $20 less.
However, it is still a great buy and I would encourage you to do so.
