How quick are your reflexes?
Brooke and Caleb tell what they think of 5 Out of the Box card games: 7 Ate 9, Super Circles, Run Wild, My Word, and Rock
As you’ll see at the end of the video, they each rearranged the games in the order of how they’d rank the games. So I guess I’ll give my order as well - from what I like most to least.
7 Ate 9
Quick thinking with simple math keeps your mind and hands moving rapidly along.
I really like rummy type games and mixing things around - taking from a pile and adding to another - trying to find opportunity wherever I can.
Another fast paced game but with a different kind of mental thinking. You need to be quick on your matches, and those circles can make it tough.
Good concept and works well for kids to pick out simple words. And if adults or older siblings are playing we put restrictions on the size of words they can spell in order to keep it balanced.
While the kids put this at the top of their list, it’s the last on my list. While I like the creative renditions of rock, paper, and scissors (I like the pocket knife scissors the best), it lacks the learning aspect of the other games and is just for quick recognition.
Kids Rating 9-10/10
Dad’s Rating 6-8/10 A mixed review, but most are fun to pull out often. Since they play so quickly it’s easy to rattle through them a few times in a sitting.
